A wardrobe built on wool is one of the most practical things you can have in a Norwegian climate. You do not need to change garments throughout the day, wool stays clean longer than other materials, and does not smell the same way after a long day on your feet.
Our knitting method, which Brit Vinje Lyngstad developed in 1994 so that her husband Eilif would stay dry after working days outdoors in North-Western Norway, provides 30 percent more air pockets than regular wool knitwear. These air pockets allow the garments to retain warmth while releasing excess moisture. You do not freeze in the car park, and you do not sweat when the office turns up the heat.
In this collection, you will find base layers that sit itch-free against the skin, sweaters and cardigans for varying temperatures, jackets you can wear on their own on dry days or under a rain jacket in wet weather, and accessories such as hats, socks and mittens. Much is unisex, so it works just as well in your own wardrobe as when borrowed from home.
Lanullva garments work best against the skin; that is where our knitting method delivers both warmth and moisture transport. The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange (responsible animal welfare and full traceability), Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified, and produced in European factories with proper working conditions. Wash on a wool programme, air more often than you wash, and you will have garments that stay with you for many years.
