Women's wool sweater

A good wool sweater works surprisingly well in many places. It keeps you warm on a mountain hike in March, protects against the wind on the waterfront in July, and is the first thing you put on when the office window is open on a cool October day. This is exactly what makes a good wool sweater one of the most frequently worn garments in a Norwegian wardrobe.

The result is a garment that keeps you warm without becoming clammy, and adapts to the changing weather we have here: wind outdoors, heating indoors, sun during the day, cold in the evening.

We knit both thinner styles that are suitable for summer and under a shell jacket, and thicker versions for cold days when the sweater also works well on its own on dry days. The cuts are simple and timeless, intended to be worn often and combined with what you already own. Half zip, full zip, crewneck or turtleneck, choose according to need, not trend.

The sweater works best directly against the skin, where the knitting method provides moisture transport while keeping you warm. The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange (responsible animal welfare and full traceability), Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified, and produced in European factories with proper working conditions. Wool withstands a lot without being washed. It smells less than synthetics, retains its shape, and rarely requires more than airing between uses. When it does need washing: wool programme, lay flat. A good wool sweater often lasts ten years or more that way.
