A wool bodysuit is the first garment we put on a baby that will sit against the skin. It covers the stomach area, back and upper thighs, the places where the baby loses heat most quickly. As a base layer, it sits against the skin all day, so the material means everything.
Lanullva's wool bodysuits for babies are knitted in superfine merino wool, softer against the skin than people expect from a natural material. The airy knitting method provides 30 percent more air pockets than regular wool knit, and these air pockets are what allow the bodysuit to regulate temperature and moisture automatically. When the baby gets warm, excess heat is released; when the child sleeps peacefully, warmth is kept even.
All bodysuits are Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified, with no chemicals that can irritate sensitive baby skin. The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange, and the garments are produced in European factories with proper working conditions. It is the full chain, not just the finished product you hold in your hand.
We knit the bodysuits with snap buttons or openings that are easy to manage during diaper changes. The material withstands washing time after time without losing its softness. Wash on a wool cycle, lay flat, and the bodysuit can often be used by several children.
