Women's headband

Headbands are an underrated garment that solves a very specific problem: the days when it is too cold for bare hair, but too warm for a full hat. There are surprisingly many such days in Norway: early spring, late autumn, cool summer evenings, mild winter days after snowmelt.

Lanullva's women's headbands are knitted in soft merino wool using our airy method. The knit is dense enough to retain warmth around the ears and forehead, but breathes so well that you do not get sweaty even while running or taking brisk walks.

For many, the headband is the most important everyday headwear: it does not flatten the hair like a hat, it is easy to keep in a handbag or jacket pocket, and it takes up no space. It works for a run in May, cycling on a summer evening, walking the dog in October, and skiing days when a hat causes overheating.

We make models in different widths, from narrow bands to wider headbands that cover the entire ears. The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange (responsible animal welfare and full traceability), Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified, and produced in European factories with proper working conditions. Air between uses, wash sparingly on a wool cycle, and it lasts for several years.
