Children's cardigan

For children, a cardigan is often more practical than an ordinary sweater. It opens and closes with a zip, allowing the child to regulate their own temperature without having to pull a sweater over their head. At nursery, at the playground, on mountain hikes with the family, the flexibility means that the garment is actually worn correctly throughout the day.

Lanullva’s children’s wool cardigans are knitted in merino wool using our airy method. The 30 percent greater air volume in the knit pattern allows the cardigan to warm when the child sits still and release excess heat when activity increases. Parents do not need to worry about the child becoming too warm or too cold; the cardigan adapts by itself.

We make cardigans with clear zips that are easy for small hands to handle, and with good length in the sleeves and body so the garment grows a little with the child before it becomes too small. The cuts work just as well over a t-shirt on summer trips as over a wool top on a cold autumn day.

The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange, Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified (no harmful chemicals against the skin), and produced in European factories with proper working conditions. Wool absorbs little odour and rarely requires washing. Air between uses, and when the garment needs washing: wool programme, dry flat. A good wool cardigan will often last through several siblings that way.
