Children’s clothing for the lower body needs to withstand a lot. The sandbox, the sledding hill, kneeling play, climbing trees, sitting on concrete. Ordinary thin trousers often become wet and cold before the child has even finished the first activity. Wool solves this differently: the material retains warmth even when damp, and dries faster than both cotton and fleece.

Lanullva’s children’s wool trousers are knitted in merino wool using our airy method, which provides 30 percent more air pockets than regular wool knitwear. These air pockets enable the child to retain warmth on the sledding hill while the garment breathes as activity increases.

We make trousers with comfortable waistbands that do not press against the stomach, and lengths that cover the lower leg all the way down to where the boot begins. The stretch follows the child’s movements, so the trousers do not catch and do not stretch out of shape even after many rounds of climbing and kneeling play.

The garment withstands winter in the mountains, mild days at nursery, cool autumn mornings and cool summer evenings by the sea. The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange, Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified (no harmful chemicals against the skin), and produced in European factories with proper working conditions. Wash on a wool programme when needed; airing is usually enough between uses.
