Children quickly notice if a garment itches. A wool top that itches stays in the drawer. A wool top that does not itch gets worn all week. Lanullva's wool tops for children are knitted in soft merino wool that sits comfortably against even the most sensitive skin, and does not chafe at the back of the neck, where children's clothing often fails.
Our knitting method provides 30 percent more air pockets than regular wool knit. This means the top adapts to the child: it warms when they are sitting still in the car or on a lap, and releases excess heat when they run around the playground. Parents do not have to regulate it; the garment does it itself.
We make the tops in lengths that properly cover the stomach area, so that neither back nor stomach is exposed when the child raises their arms. The sleeves have a good length, and the neckline is open enough for the top to be easy to pull over the head. We also think about small practical details: cuffs that are not too tight, no strange labels that itch, and colours that withstand everyday use.
The garments are 20.5 micron merino wool and Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified. Wool tops rarely need washing; airing is usually enough. When they do need washing, use a wool cycle and lay them flat to dry. Then a good wool top will often last through several siblings.
