Legs need their own warmth strategy in winter. Trousers alone are rarely enough when the temperature drops, and thin tights will leave you cold before you have walked for ten minutes. Wool long johns are the solution: a thin, flexible base layer that sits comfortably against the skin and warms the legs and lower back.
Lanullva’s wool long johns for women are knitted in merino wool using the airy method we have used since 1994. The stretch in the wool means that the garment follows your movement; you can cycle, ski, sit down, cross your legs, without the garment stretching out of shape or getting caught.
There are many uses. Under trousers and jeans, they provide a good temperature between 5 below and 10 above. Under a dress or skirt, they work as a tights replacement that warms much better than 60-denier nylon. For skiing or hiking, they are a lightweight alternative to thicker options, and they take up almost no space in a backpack.
The garment is Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified and knitted from 20,5 micron merino wool. Wash sparingly on the wool programme, lay flat to dry, and the wool long johns retain their shape and keep you warm for many winters.
