    • The Havbris Crewneck is the wool top you put on next to the skin and forget you’re wearing. Thin, soft merino wool, made to be worn right against the skin. On its own on mild days, as a first layer when it’s properly cold.

It is knitted using Brit’s knitting method – air knitted into every stitch, which keeps you warm even when you take a break. Brit Vinje Lyngstad invented the method in Lyngstad in 1994, because Eilif was cold. The method was tested by SINTEF in 1995, including on Svalbard at −23 °C. Wool can absorb a lot of moisture without feeling wet, so you stay warm even when you stop after being active.

“Wore it for 7 days hiking in the mountains in Peru. … it didn’t smell and kept its shape well” – Sandem T.

      • Soft merino wool that many customers tell us doesn’t itch – even right against the skin.
      • On the coldest days: Havbris next to the skin, Hustadvika on top
      • 100% merino wool. The wool is RWS-certified, with requirements for animal welfare and traceability throughout the value chain.

    Lanullva Air

It’s the air that keeps you warm

It isn’t just the wool that makes the difference. It’s the way we knit it.

    Grandmother’s invention

Eilif came home cold and sweaty from working on the farm at Lyngstad. In 1994, Brit Vinje Lyngstad invented a knitting method with air knitted into every stitch – and Eilif stopped being cold. The following year, SINTEF tested the method on Svalbard.

    How the knitting method works

Wool alone isn’t the whole explanation. What insulates is the still air held in the knit – and Brit’s method builds a lot of it in.

      Air knitted into every stitch

SINTEF described the knit as “a thick and open structure” with “a lot of air between the fibres”.

    2. 2
      The air holds the warmth

Your body heat stays in the air pockets, even when you take a break. SINTEF found that the insulation follows the amount of air in the knit.

    3. 3
      The wool does the rest

Wool can absorb a lot of moisture without feeling wet, so you stay warm when you stop after being active.

Body heatThe warmth from your body heats the air in the stitches.
Air in the stitchesStill air insulates well – that is why the knit holds the warmth.
MoistureThe wool absorbs moisture without feeling wet.

Two layers for the coldest days

Havbris next to the skin and Hustadvika on top. Two layers with air in the stitch, made to be worn together when it gets really cold.

    Fin genser, upresis fargeangivelse.

Genseren er fin! Det eneste er at fargen som heter mosegrønn etter min mening ikke er en mosegrønn. Den har en del blått i seg og er nesten en kald farge.
