The Adult Wool Sock is a thick, warm merino wool sock, with polyamide for durability. It is airy and soft, and works in hiking boots and winter shoes, on hikes, for training and on the coldest days. Our customers mention warm, dry feet and no blisters.
Knitted using Brit’s knitting method – air knitted into every stitch, which keeps you warm. Brit Vinje Lyngstad invented the method in 1994, because Eilif came home wet and cold from the forest and farm.
“Fits well, just the right thickness … no blisters.” – Evy A.F.
- For hiking, training, winter days and every day you spend a lot of time outdoors
- For mild days and tight shoes: see Wool Sock Adult Thin
- 64% merino wool, 34% polyamide, 2% Lycra

The story behind Lanullva

Grandmother’s invention
Eilif came home cold and sweaty from working on the farm at Lyngstad. In 1994, Brit Vinje Lyngstad invented a knitting method with air knitted into every stitch – and Eilif stopped being cold.
