Women's hats

The head is one of the body's largest gateways for heat loss. When it is cold, much of the body's heat escapes through the top of the head, which explains why a good hat is often the difference between feeling cold and being comfortable on a walk.

Lanullva's women's hats are knitted in soft merino wool using our airy method. The textured structure against the skin provides fewer direct contact points, so the hat does not itch on the forehead even after a long day. At the same time, the knit pattern keeps the head evenly warm: it warms when you are standing still at the local bus stop, and breathes when you walk briskly up a hill.

We make hats in several shapes: classic close-fitting styles, softer fold-up models, and longer hats that cover both the ears and parts of the neck. The cuts are timeless because a good hat is worn for many years. The material smells less than synthetics, so it rarely needs washing; airing is often enough.

The hat sits against the skin on the head and ears, precisely where wool performs best. The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange (responsible animal welfare and full traceability), Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified, and produced in European factories with proper working conditions. Wash gently on a wool cycle, lay flat, and you have a hat that retains its shape through many winters.
