Basic menswear is Lanullva's everyday clothing for men, with the same premium softness found throughout the Basic line. The wool is fine, softer than people expect from a garment intended for everyday wear, and it is this feel against the skin that makes the garments favourites before long.
We knit in fine merino wool using our airy method. The knit has 30 percent more air pockets than regular wool knitwear, and it is these air pockets that allow the garments to work both under a shirt at the office and as everyday clothing under a jacket in winter. You do not get clammy during long meetings, and you do not get cold when you go out for lunch.
The cuts are clean and without unnecessary details, garments that suit a wardrobe where each piece should be able to be combined with several others. Everyday comfort in a real Norwegian climate means that the same T-shirt or sweater works in the open-plan office, in the car between meetings, and at home in the evening. It is this versatility that makes Basic worth the price.
The garments work best directly against the skin, as this is where the exclusive merino wool has its full effect. The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange (responsible animal welfare and full traceability), Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified, and produced in European factories with proper working conditions. Wash sparingly on the wool cycle; wool smells less than synthetics and rarely needs washing.
