For many, a dog is a family member on a par with children. It therefore becomes natural for the dog to also have clothing that withstands Norwegian weather, not fancy garments for show, but practical garments that work on morning walks in the rain, winter walks in the cold, and that suit active dog life in Norwegian nature.
Lanullva's dog clothing is knitted in merino wool using our airy method, the same knitting principle as in all our garments. The 30 percent greater air volume means that the garments keep the dog warm during long sedentary periods (at the hunting stand, while waiting outside the shop) and release excess heat when the dog runs.
We thought it was fitting that the animal you care for should have garments made from wool from animals that are also well cared for. That is why we use RWS-certified merino wool from Textile Exchange, with full traceability from pasture to shorn wool, and documented animal welfare all the way. It is not a marketing phrase; it is a concrete standard that wool suppliers must meet.
The garments work best for dogs with short coats, older dogs, small breeds and dogs that spend a lot of time outdoors in damp weather, precisely the cases where the Norwegian climate becomes challenging for the dog without a good garment. Wash on a wool cycle, lay flat to dry.
