Hustadvika is the warm layer. The jacket is thicker than Havbris and made for a calm pace in cold weather, under your shell jacket on a hike or on its own around the house and at the cabin. The front zip makes it easy to air out.
Brit Vinje Lyngstad invented the knitting method in Lyngstad in 1994, because Eilif was cold in the forest. Air in the stitch keeps you warm even when you take a break. The method was tested by SINTEF in 1995, including on Svalbard at −23 °C.
“Wore it … as layer 2 (and layer 3 at minus 15-20) under my shell jacket” – Stig G.
- Soft merino wool that many customers tell us doesn’t itch – even right against the skin.
- Mid layer under your shell jacket, or on its own on cold, still days.
- On the coldest days: Havbris next to the skin, Hustadvika on top.
- Front zip.
- 100% merino wool. The wool is RWS-certified, with requirements for animal welfare and traceability throughout the value chain.

WHO IS BEHIND IT
Knitted using Brit's knitting method
In 1994, Brit Vinje Lyngstad knitted a sweater with extra air in the stitches for her husband, Eilif, who came home wet and cold from work on the farm. The garment you are looking at is knitted according to the same principle.
Today, her daughter Gunn Anne and her children carry Lanullva forward from Atlanterhavsveien.
