Anti-Tex 2.0 wool long johns are thin, soft long johns in merino wool, made to be worn right against the skin. Products in the Anti-Tex collection give you extra protection against insects such as ticks, mosquitoes and other parasites when you spend time outdoors in forests and wilderness. Little or no tick attachment has been recorded on the bodies of people who have worn Lanullva Anti-Tex. Very low levels of permethrin are added to the yarn during dyeing, so that ticks do not want to settle in the garment.
Knitted using Brit’s knitting method – air knitted into every stitch, which keeps you warm. Brit Vinje Lyngstad invented it in 1994 because Eilif came home wet and cold from the forest and the farm. The method was tested by SINTEF in 1995, including on Svalbard at −23 °C. Wool can absorb a lot of moisture without feeling wet, so you stay warm even when you stop after being active.
“came home with 20-30 ticks after the first hunting weekend. … 100% tick-free!!” – Morten L.
- Soft merino wool that many customers tell us doesn’t itch – even right against the skin.
- Innermost layer for hunting and hiking, all year round
- In dense undergrowth: wear a shell layer on top so the knit doesn’t snag
- 100% merino wool. The wool is RWS-certified, with requirements for animal welfare and traceability throughout the value chain.
- Certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

The story behind Lanullva

Grandmother’s invention
Eilif came home cold and sweaty from working on the farm at Lyngstad, on Norway's harsh north-west coast. In 1994, Brit Vinje Lyngstad invented a knitting method with air knitted into every stitch – and Eilif stopped being cold.
