It is rarely the main garments that determine whether you feel cold or not; it is the accessories. The head, neck, hands and feet make up a smaller proportion of the body altogether, but a significant proportion of heat loss. Switching from synthetic to wool accessories makes an immediate difference.

Lanullva’s women’s accessories are knitted in merino wool using our airy method, which Brit Vinje Lyngstad developed in 1994 to give her husband Eilif dry days. The knit has 30 percent more air pockets than regular wool knitwear, and these air pockets allow the same garment to work in winter cold and on mild summer evenings by the sea.

In this collection, you will find hats in several shapes, headbands for mild days, wool neck warmers that replace scarves, socks for both trainers and winter boots, mittens for everyday use and mountain hikes, and caps for sunny spring days. All garments have the same material and the same knitting method: wool that regulates moisture and temperature without becoming clammy.

All accessory garments sit directly against the skin, on the head, neck, hands and feet, and that is where wool truly works. The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange (responsible animal welfare and full traceability), Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified, and produced in European factories with proper working conditions. Air between uses, wash sparingly, and the accessories often last for many years.
