Socks are the garment most people think least about, until they switch to wool. Then you suddenly notice that your feet no longer get cold on the way to the car, that the same sock can be worn for two days without smelling, and that blisters from new shoes almost disappear.
Lanullva's socks are knitted in merino wool using our airy method, which Brit Vinje Lyngstad developed in 1994 to give her husband Eilif dry workdays. The extra air volume in the knit allows the sock to breathe in warm weather and retain warmth in cold weather. It is the same material, the same properties, all year round.
We have socks for the whole family: women, men, children, and in several thicknesses from thin everyday socks to sturdy work socks. Common to all is that they can sit against the skin all day without itching, and that they retain their shape wash after wash.
Many customers discover that they stop buying new socks every year. A good wool sock often lasts five years or more if cared for properly: wash on a wool cycle when needed, not before, and lay flat to dry.
