What is Tencel?

Tencel® is one of our most eco-friendly textile materials. It comes straight from nature and is made from FSC*-certified cellulose from sustainably managed forests. Tencel® shares many of the same great properties as wool, and clothes made from Tencel® are soft and durable, keep their shape well and wick moisture away from the skin.

Tencel® is produced from eucalyptus trees. Production is FSC-certified, which guarantees sustainable forestry. Trees used in production are replaced, and growing the raw material itself absorbs CO2 and produces oxygen. The forests are grown on land that is unsuitable for farming, so they do not compete with food production.
