Women's wool sweater

The wool top is the workhorse of the wool wardrobe. It sits closest to the body, keeps the body warm and lets excess moisture escape. When you find one that truly fits well, you will wear it every week for half the year.

Lanullva’s wool tops for women are knitted in soft merino wool using the airy method Brit Vinje Lyngstad developed in 1994. The method provides 30 percent more air pockets than regular knitwear, and it is the air pockets that keep body temperature even whether you are sitting still at the office or walking briskly up a hill.

We make both half zip models with a high neck for cold days, and crewneck models with a round neck that hide under a blouse or shirt. Thin enough to wear alone under a summer garment, warm enough to be the first thing you put on on a winter day. The sleeves often have a slightly longer length with the option of thumbholes, so that the top stays in place when you pull a jacket on over it.

The garments are made from 20,5 micron merino wool and are Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified. Wash on the wool programme, lay flat to dry, and a good wool top will often accompany you for five to ten seasons.
