A significant part of the body's heat escapes through the head when it is cold, far more than people think. A good wool hat is therefore one of the simplest and most effective things you can put on when the temperature drops.

Lanullva's men's hats are knitted in soft merino wool using the airy method Brit Vinje Lyngstad invented to protect her Eilif from the north wind of the Atlantic Ocean. The textured structure against the skin provides fewer contact points and better ventilation; the hat does not become clammy when you move and keeps you warm when you are still.

The head is perhaps the part of the body you notice the least when it works. Whether hunting, at sea, at an outdoor workplace, or on the way to the cabin, it is only when the hat is forgotten at home that you realise how much it actually helped.

We make hats that cover the ears, fit closely without constricting, and allow the hair to fall back into the same shape when the hat is removed. Timeless colours and a shape you can use for many years. The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange (responsible animal welfare and full traceability), OEKO-TEX Standard 100-certified, and produced in European factories with fair working conditions. Wash sparingly on a wool cycle; wool rarely needs washing.
