Lanullva's Havbris 2.0 is knitted in lightweight merino wool using our airy method, which Brit Vinje Lyngstad developed in 1994 to give her husband Eilif dry working days. The knit provides 30 percent more air pockets than regular wool knitwear. These air pockets are what make the same garment work in January and July: the wool breathes enough that you do not become clammy when the sun is high, and keeps you warm enough to stay comfortable when evening falls by the sea.
Havbris is built around a simple principle: everyday comfort in a real Norwegian climate. It is not a hiking garment, and it is not a fashion garment. It is garments you wear from when you get up in the morning until you go to bed in the evening, throughout an entire year, without changing for each season. Nursery pickup, work, the terrace, an afternoon walk, evening fishing, the same garment works for everything.
The garments work best directly against the skin, where the knitting method has its full effect. The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange (responsible animal welfare and full traceability), Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified, and produced in European factories with proper working conditions. Wool smells less than synthetics, rarely requires washing, and can be worn for several days between washes. At home: wool programme, lay flat, and the garments last for several years.
