Cold fingers are one of the first things to ruin a good day outdoors. You cannot tie the fishing line, load the rifle, or open the coffee cup. The right mittens are part of the equipment, not an extra.

Lanullva's wool mittens for men are knitted in merino wool using our airy method, the same principle Brit Vinje Lyngstad developed in 1994 for her Eilif. The knit has 30 percent more air pockets than regular wool, and it is these air pockets that keep hands warm at the hunting stand for two hours and prevent them from becoming clammy when walking uphill between stands.

We make models in different thicknesses: thin work mittens for everyday use, medium-thick hunting mittens with good fine motor control, and heavy-duty outdoor mittens for the coldest days. Many are combined with a thinner wool mitten underneath on truly cold days, providing extra warmth and flexibility if the outer mitten needs to be removed briefly.

Wool retains its insulation even when the garment becomes damp from snow or fish. That is the property that makes wool unsurpassed on long days outdoors. The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange (responsible animal welfare and full traceability), Öko-Tex Standard 100-certified, and produced in European factories with proper working conditions. At home: wool cycle, lay flat to dry.
