Basic for women brings together Lanullva's everyday garments for women in the same premium softness. The wool in this collection has been chosen because it feels exclusive against the skin, more than people expect from a “basic” garment. It is the feel against the skin that makes the same blouse or T-shirt suddenly become the one you reach for every morning.
We knit the garments in fine merino wool using our airy method. The knit provides 30 percent more air pockets than regular wool knitwear; it is the balance between softness and breathable warmth that makes the garments suitable for everyday wear all year round, not just during the winter months.
The cuts follow a simple philosophy: formal enough to work at the office, comfortable enough to wear at home, and simple enough to wear with most other things in your wardrobe. Everyday comfort in a real Norwegian climate is the main goal—garments that withstand a workday, a commute, a pick-up-and-drop-off trip and an evening dinner without changing.
The garments are best experienced directly against the skin; that is where the exclusive wool truly comes into its own. The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange (responsible animal welfare and full traceability), OEKO-TEX Standard 100-certified, and produced in European factories with proper working conditions. Air frequently, wash rarely on a wool cycle, dry flat, and the Basic garments will last for several seasons without losing their shape or feel against the skin.
