Anti-Tex solves a very specific Norwegian everyday problem: ticks. No one is happy to find a tick in their knee after airing out in the garden, a berry-picking trip, an evening walk with the dog, or a long day in the forest. Anti-Tex is Lanullva's answer, wool clothing with integrated protection against ticks, mosquitoes, gnats and deer keds.
The garments are knitted in merino wool using our airy method, and then treated with an insect repellent.
The garments work where regular wool clothing works, but also where regular outdoor clothing does not provide optimal protection. The difference is that Anti-tex also provides protection in the situations that actually involve risk: forest walks, gardening, berry and mushroom picking trips, evening walks on the heaths, summer holidays at the cabin. Everyday comfort in a genuine Norwegian climate includes travelling through tick-prone areas, and Anti-Tex is the garment that makes such travel safer.
Anti-Tex garments work best against the skin, as an inner layer where both the wool and protection have full effect. The wool is RWS-certified by Textile Exchange (responsible animal welfare and full traceability), Øko-Tex Standard 100-certified, and produced in European factories with fair working conditions. Wash like regular wool, the treatment lasts through many washes.
